Allerton Park Horse Trials have been running annually since 1992 in a beautiful parkland setting, close to the A1(M) between Harrogate and York.

The Event takes place over a large area of lakeside parkland, with fabulous scenic views. Riders compete from Pre-Novice to Open-Intermediate levels.

The Show Jumping and Dressage arenas are easily accessible from the car parks. There is also a selection of catering facilities and trade stands nearby.

The Cross-Country courses are carefully designed to be flowing tracks over undulating terrain, offering bold fences using natural features. The obstacles are well presented, with a mixture of permanent and sturdy portable constructions, offering a wide variety of challenges. All three Cross-Country courses use the island water complex.

We aim to provide a high class Event, which last year attracted over 500 riders from throughout the UK and in excess of 6,000 spectators. Our Event is run by a local committee and a huge band of dedicated volunteers, all under the guidance of British Eventing – the governing body for the sport of Eventing in Great Britain.
